Wreaths Across America

Prospect Hill Cemetery is honored to participate in Wreaths Across America. On this national day of remembrance, communities across the country unite to Remember the Fallen, Honor those who served, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom.

POSTPONED — Wreaths Across America at Prospect Hill

Due to the forecasted extreme cold and snow in Omaha on December 13, Prospect Hill Cemetery is postponing our Wreaths Across America ceremony and wreath-laying from Saturday, December 13th to Saturday, December 20th at 11:00 AM. All other details remain the same.

Volunteer Information

• Ceremony begins at 11:00 AM
• Wreath placement begins immediately afterward
• Check-in at the chapel for your map and instructions
• Dress warmly and wear sturdy shoes
• Optional: bring a small hand tool if the ground is firm

Prospect Hill Cemetery thanks you for helping us remember and honor these men and women who served our country.

Prospect Hill Cemetery has 349 identified veterans resting here. Of these, 296 veterans have confirmed grave markers, and that was our 2025 sponsorship goal.

We are thrilled to report 318 sponsored wreaths for 2025! Every veteran whose grave has a marker will receive a wreath this year - the first time in four years we have achieved full coverage. Additional wreaths will be set on unmarked veterans graves

Each wreath honors a life, a story, and a piece of Omaha’s history.
